Tanzania Explorer:
Serengeti & Beyond with added beach stay
Tanzania
New for 2026, this extraordinary adventure across Tanzania and Zanzibar is the ultimate mix of thrill and chill. You’ll kick things off in Arusha with a night to recover from the flight before diving headfirst into one of the most exciting safaris East Africa has to offer.
First up is Tarangire National Park, a baobab-studded landscape known for its elephant herds and quiet, uncrowded game drives. You’ll spend two nights here, soaking up the sights and sounds of the African bush. Game drives begin the moment you enter the park, so don’t be surprised if your very first wildlife sighting happens before you’ve even reached your lodge. Early mornings and golden evenings are spent exploring the park’s plains, while afternoons are for relaxing at the lodge or, if you’re up for something unforgettable, taking to the skies in an optional sunrise hot air balloon safari.
Next, the journey takes you to Mto Wa Mbu, a colourful farming town where you’ll hop in a tuk tuk to explore local markets, meet community members and learn how over 100 different tribes have come together to call this place home. After a taste of culture, you’ll head to Karatu for a night at a working farm that directly supports the surrounding community – a cosy and inspiring stop before the Serengeti.
Then, it’s onto the Serengeti itself – that legendary stretch of open savannah where lions laze in the sun and wildebeest graze by the thousand. You’ll stay in the heart of the park for two nights, with early-morning and late-afternoon game drives that showcase just how wild and wonderful this region is. You’ll follow the Ngare Nanyuki River in search of big cats, big herds and the rest of the Big Five, before spending your downtime relaxing at your tented camp with a drink in hand and uninterrupted views of the plains.
The next chapter takes you to the Ngorongoro Highlands, but not before stopping at the incredible Olduvai Gorge – a key site in the story of human evolution. From here, you’ll base yourself on the edge of the crater, ready to descend into its vast natural amphitheatre the following morning. This is one of Africa’s most spectacular wildlife-viewing experiences. Herds of zebra, buffalo and gazelle wander past pink flamingos, all framed by the dramatic crater walls – a true ‘David Attenborough moment’ if ever there was one.
Once your safari adventure wraps up, it’s off to Zanzibar for a well-earned beach break. You’ll hop on a short flight and check into Matemwe Attitude, an adults-only escape on the island’s peaceful northeast coast. This boutique hideaway is all about lazy days, warm nights and panoramic ocean views. Villas come with access to a shared infinity pool or private plunge pools, and the beach stretches out just steps away.
If you upgrade to All Inclusive, you’ll enjoy sunset cocktails, wood-fired pizzas served straight to your lounger, beach BBQs under the stars and a minibar that’s fully stocked and yours to raid. All with Mnemba Island – one of the region’s best snorkelling spots – in view.
This trip is for the dreamers, the explorers and the beach lovers. From wildlife wonders to toes-in-the-sand relaxation, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime adventure that covers it all.
